How we choose stories
We cover cybersecurity, scams and data protection news that affects people and organisations in Nigeria, with a focus on what readers can do.
How we check facts
We use primary sources wherever possible: regulator statements, court documents and the official text of laws. We link to our sources in every article.
“Alleged” until confirmed
If a regulator or court has not confirmed something, we say it is alleged.
People in our stories
We anonymise reader stories and never publish names, phone numbers or account details without consent.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we correct it quickly and note the correction at the end of the article. Email [corrections@infosec.ng].
Independence
Sponsors and advertisers never edit or approve our stories. Sponsored content is always labelled.
